I'm a Mobile Mommy
I recently added a new product line to my online store - Mobile Mommy Adjustable Ring Slings. Now, I have LOTS of baby carriers - I've tried them all, from a CuddlyWrap, which was INDISPENSABLE during the first three months of Spunky's arrival, to a Mei Tai, and all points in between. I've had great luck with my Non-adjustable sling with BananaMuffin in a hip carry position (absolutely a requirement for all parents of a 12-18 month old who can walk, but not listen to instructions carefully!) but with Spunky, we just couldn't seem to get the right fit. He was either lost in the pouch, or his chin was compressed into his neck, or there just seemed to be too much fabric and I didn't feel secure walking around with him unless I was holding the sling with one arm. Not easy to do when you also have a BananaMuffin to chase! Looking for a solution, I found Mobile Mommy. Her adjustable ring slings are made in Canada, by a mom of one (with one on the way!), and are available with all sorts of fantastic accessories - a toy loop, cell phone pocket - so you NEVER have to carry an extra purse (fantastic for me, who always makes the wallet ride along with the baby) - but it is also available without all the bells and whistles for excellent value and every day wear. I have literally been living in mine since it arrived. Spunky LOVES it. He sits up, crossed-legged or "buddha" style, he watches the world, or I can nurse him and still keep moving (a necessity for us, since he's a hungry boy, mealtimes are rarely completed sitting down). The sling is comfortable, and the little details, like the wide, pleated shoulder strap makes it so easy to put on without having fabric bunching up on your back - it really does create a clean look, and, contrary to popular belief, the fabric does NOT slip in the rings, it stays adjusted! We love it, can't get enough of it, and can't say enough good things. It keeps Spunky secure, I can tighten the fabric around him (no more holding him with one arm in the sling). The Mobile Mommy even took a trip to the beach with us this weekend - BananaMuffin waded and splashed while Spunky nursed and enjoyed the sights.
