Go, Scotian, Go
This weekend, for the sixth consecutive year, Scotian is riding in the MS Bike Tour. Biking with a team of co-workers, he has been training incredibly hard, and has already logged nearly 900 km on his bike this year by commuting 30 km round-trip to work several days a week, and riding longer training rides on the weekend.
Scotian writes: "So this is year 6 for me and the MS Bike Tour! This year I have a new bike that is geared toward road riding and commuting rather than my old mountain bike that was trying it's darndest to be a road bike. Thanks to the hybrid, I have logged more kilometers to this point in the year than I ever have (over 700 km to date, and near 900 km by the time the Tour is complete).
The Tour is returning once again to the valleys & vineyards between Windsor and Wolfville with a loop around the Canning dyke lands. Last year we were faced with probably the hottest day I have ever biked in on the first day, followed by the most rain I have ever biked in on the second.
Hopefully this year we will get some more moderate conditions, but ether way I know I'm up for the challenge and thanks to your kind and generous support will once again do my little part towards contributing to the ongoing battle against MS."
His team hosts group fundraisers in addition to fundraising individually. I'm proud to say that Nurtured is a regular sponsor of Scotian in his efforts to help bring an end to Multiple Sclerosis.Labels: family
