The Little Garden Fairy
Last November, you may remember, we took a little trip to Blockhouse to the Waldorf School to attend their Christmas Fair. At the fair, was a large papier mache elf that BananaMuffin found quite scary. Well, one of the things I checked off my "to do" list while we were on vacation was to have the favourite photos of the last 12 months printed - and this was one of them. BananaMuffin found herself very intrigued by this photo and has been talking about the elf ever since. She offers him bits of cheese, leaving them on the floor for him to eat (and they magically disappear thanks to an opportunistic greyhound we know). She says she wants to see the elf again, and I told her that the elf only comes out in the winter time when it's snowing.
That evening, my friend Tory came over for a piece of birthday cake and to start her very own Waldorf doll, so while she was working on hers, I worked on a little doll I had started a few weeks ago, and decided I would quickly add hair and a little dress and leave it in BananaMuffin's bed for her to find when she woke up in the morning - her very own Little Garden Fairy.
I'm happy to say that she LOVES the Little Garden Fairy and has been taking her to bed every single night.Labels: Playtime, wool
