Chilly Weather Ahead

Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning I walk the kids to daycare. Most mornings, BananaMuffin walks with me while I backpack Spunky in either an Ergo, a BabyHawk, or a Beco Butterfly. Sometimes, I do rely on the stroller and actually end up backpacking BananaMuffin and pushing Spunky. At 40 pounds, it's no small feat anymore, but at least the walk TO school is downhill. The walk home is another story all together!

The mornings are getting chillier. We've walked to school just as the frost is burning off the neighbourhood lawns. Instead of walking together in our T-shirts we're now wearing long sleeves and fleeces. The kids are wearing slippers around the house in the mornings...fall is here, and winter is coming.

We have restocked our popular Peekaru Babywearing Vests. A top seller in 2007, we anticipate their popularity will only grow! We still LOVE ours and you can be sure we'll be getting a lot of use out of it this winter. We live in an area where our sidewalks are always slushy, icy, and slippery, and it's impossible to push a stroller, so we're always carrying one or both kids, and it's nice to stay warm and cozy! This time of year is perfect for the Peekaru - wear it as a vest with a long sleeved shirt and you're ready to go in the morning! Perfect with most carriers, though is most appropriate with mei tais and soft structured carriers.

The Peekaru unzips under the left arm and goes on just like a pullover - over you and baby!
