On The Line

After nap time today I took the kids to Atlantic Fabrics for a little shopping expedition. Despite the fact that it's only September, I am starting to think about Christmas gifts. While I DON'T agree with box stores already setting up Christmas merchandise, I do have a long list of things that I want to make for friends and family, and limited time in which to accomplish my goals. The fall season is a busy time for Nurtured, so my already sparse spare time will become even more rare, however, I am committed to finishing my projects this year.

Today, I picked up three metres of fabric - a very cute pink and green polka dotted cotton (I LOVE pink and green, it's my favourite colour combination, along with rainbows!) and a leaf print along with some white cotton jersey. These fabrics are for doll clothes - I have a long list of dolls forming in my head for the holiday season!

I washed them up when I got home and hung them out on the line in the early evening sunshine, with the harbour breeze blowing them dry very quickly. I love September light! Watch for the finished product coming soon!
