Nurtured vs. Wal-Mart
An interesting show down that would be, presumably Wal-Mart would win due to excessive amounts of money and probably a team of incredibly talented litigation lawyers!
On Thursday, I decided to redeem one of the benefits of being self-employed and joined Tory and her little girl for a day at the Maritime Fall Fair. In the 10 years I've lived in Halifax, I have somehow managed to never take in the Fall Fair, and to be honest, bringing the farm to an exhibition grounds in the city seems a bit contrived, but I will say, I really enjoyed the day. BananaMuffin in particular, but Spunky as well, both enjoyed being nuzzled by a llama, petting the goats, riding the tractors, watching the show jumping competition, and last but not least, their FIRST midway rides!
What does that have to do with Wal-Mart?
I arrived home to two little notes tucked in the door - one from The Wool Fairy, saying she had left new stock of Rainbow Toddler Balls and Kanteen Cozies for us, the other, from a couple visiting Canada from England, which read, in part:
We were in Wal-Mart the other day looking at buying cloth diapers, and a lady...stopped us, literally! - and told us not to buy the Wal-Mart product but to get in touch with you!
The smile on my face couldn't be wiped off from some time. I was quite touched that a customer (and I know who you are - a huge, huge thank you!) would take it upon herself to refer a perfect stranger to Nurtured. I've said it before, but it's worth repeating - Nurtured has the best families and customers anywhere, ever. Thank you.
As an epilogue, the lovely couple from England are now fully equipped with a great supply of cloth diapers!
As a second epilogue, the guy in the Blue Ford Tractor is my brother!
