Chrissie
Not her "real" name, but I couldn't resist how those cute pigtails reminded me of Chrissie from Three's Company. I know, I'm a child of the 80s, but I did enjoy that show, once upon a time. She is actually the real Fiona - I created the first Fiona thinking that the recipient was a brunette. I was sadly wrong, she's a bouncing boucle blond, so a whole new doll was created and the real Fiona was born!
The "goldilocks" yarn was hand-dyed for me by The Wool Fairy as a really kind favour (she put off cooking supper so that she could dye this for me!) when I expressed how difficult it is to find good doll coloured "hair", particularly in blonde, and even more particularly in boucle! Collaborations like this are so wonderful, and I think the results are stunning!
I'm happy to say this trio of dolls will be going home very soon and will be under the Christmas tree. I wish I could be there to see the faces of the little ones, that's always the best part!Labels: wool
