Bamboletta Repair Shop

For about two years now, I've been rambling on about Bamboletta Dolls. These are Waldorf-style dolls, similar to the ones I made for the kids, though Christina, the mom behind Bamboletta, is certainly a professional doll-making, having dedicated her full-time working hours to her endeavour.

When the store was opening, I managed to order some Bamboletta Dolls for the store, despite the fact that Christina is not opening any new accounts.

This past week, a long-time customer of mine brought in her children's Bamboletta doll, purchased directly from Christina some time ago, and her little girls were a bit rough with this button-joined doll, and she was in need of a little TLC. I was honoured to be asked to repair such a beautiful doll, named Maisie, so I took her home and with some late-night stitches, I put her all back together. Once she was whole, she seemed a sad about being naked, so I quickly stitched together a few of the scrap strips from my Anna Maria Horner fabric, and Maisie had a new skirt to wear home.
