The Fruits of My Labour

Or rather, the legumes.

My parents had an abundance of beans in their garden this year, and despite the fact they got a bit big and tough for eating fresh, I decided to try my hand at pickling, lest they go to waste.

It was fun, and although I made a few mistakes, there is defintely a lot of satisfaction to be had in knowing that there will be tasty pickled beans available for my family in February, and that they came from the family garden - along with the onions, garlic, and dill, which were all grown locally.

Yum!
