The Dailies

Freshly made Belly Butter. I LOVE making Belly Butter. It's so fun, from start to finish. As with all Anointment products, the batches are small, but with Belly Butter, it's miniscule - 500 g at a time. Each batch requires melting, cooling, emulsifying, and makes a crazy mess. I love it. The two moisturizing ingredients - shea butter and cocoa butter - smell so fresh and delicious (particularly the cocoa butter, which smells like chocolate), it's as wonderful for growing bellies as it is for dry skin anywhere, any time. I keep a jar on my bed side table - it's a perfect after-bath all over moisturizer, pregnant or not!

***********

Scraps of fabric from the ghosts-of-quilts-past haphazardly sewn into shapes (somehow I sew straighter when I'm trying not to) then squared off with a quilting ruler and cutter to 8" x 8" square. Initially I thought this might be a quilt for Spunky's bed, but I'm rethinking these to throw cushions on the couch. What do you think?
